1 Beacon Avenue is in NEW HAVEN. I live at the top of the hill adjacent to Fort Wooster Park. When Clarendon Street(which I am on the corner of) was paved the bottoms of my driveways were never repaired. It has been 2 YEARS.

Last year, in June, we had our street repaved. The street is Clarendon street, the hill part; adjacent to Fort Wooster Park Playground area. After that was completed, the bottoms of my and my neighbor on Hillside(we have the only 3 driveways on the road) were sprayed so that they could be repaired. Over a YEAR has gone by and NOTHING has happened. This is my 3rd request. Help a citizen out here.

I live at 1 Beacon Avenue at the corner of Clarendon in NEW HAVEN. In June of last year Clarendon was paved at which time the bottom of my driveways were marked for fixing/repaving. Now that it a year later I am wondering if a crew is coming out to pix my 2 driveways that are on Clarendon opposite Fort Wooster Park?

Would it be possible to get the single trash can that we have in the Park(Ft Wooster Park) emptied? It has been weeks since it was last emptied and it is overflowing. I clean this Park every day and there is only one trash receptacle.
Would it be possible for us to get an additional trash receptacle? As our group(FRIENDS OF FORT WOOSTER)has been cleaning up the Park the utilization has increased by 100%. We could use another receptacle for the additional traffic.
I have seen several Parks Department trucks and workers in the Park collecting the few bits of overnight trash every week as well as several others walking in the Park lately. We do appreciate the increased presence.

My tree was taken down a year ago by the city. I still have a large stump in my front yard. When can i anticipate having this stump removed?

A group of dedicated and hard-working neighbors and historians, as well as volunteers from all over the state have been working very hard with very little no support from the City, our local aldermen, Dept of Public Works, or any governmental agency for that matter to clean up and take back this park in order to restore it to it's rightful historical significance. We have had several cleanups and all we have asked from the city is that they pick up the brush and wood, trash, etc. It took my wife weeks to get someone to pick up the trash. It was finally done. We have been waiting well over a month for a 'work order' to be executed in order to pick up the brush, leaves, and trees we have neatly piled in the park from out last cleanup effort.
We are planning an event in conjunction with National Trails Day on June 1st to thank the volunteers with a picnic and continue the cleanup efforts. Right now all we are asking is that we get the last cleanup wood picked up and the upper park mowed for the event on June 1st . It saddens me that I see large crews all over the city mulching, raking, planting, etc. and all we are asking that the residual wood be picked up so that we can continue our efforts and show our armey of volunteers that someone besides our core group in the City of New Haven cares. It has largely been through personal effort that the park is cleaned, ridden of late night parties, daily drug deals, and social miscreants. At great personal risk to our property as well as our physical being.
We would like for the City to stand with us, not continue to be a spectator. Someone please respond!

We have not seen a plow since 6pm on Friday. In the entire area, no plows since Friday. We cannot even walk in the streets except where we cleared ourselves.

A Town Fair Tire truck just dumped a pallet and some plywood in the park next to the left of the swingsets. I called the non-emergency number but there was no answer

Kids and their parents riding ATV's and dirt bikes in the park. Drug dealers and users at all hours of the night. When I call the Police I rarely get a response.

Through our vigilance there are fewer occurrences. I still get my life threatened and things thrown at me and my house. But it is not as bad as it was. Still, no Police response, no park signage to say when the Park closes. It has a sign on the bottom. How about a no Litter sign? There will hopefully be less blunt wrappers, beer bottles and McDonald's bags, as well as a few condoms here and there. It's disgusting but we make sure we clean up before the few kids who aren't too afraid to come up to play. We need signage on this dangerous corner as well. Who do I contact to get someone to look at the signage issue. I will post pictures
